The Associate Director of Marketing for Enrollment is a member of the Institutional Advancement team and partners with the Director of Institutional Advancement and Head of Schools in promoting the Schools and Sacred Heart education. The Associate Director of Marketing for Enrollment reports to the Director of Institutional Advancement and works closely and collaboratively with the Head of Schools, Admissions Director and Marketing and Communications Director and their teams, serving cross-functionally with both Admissions and Marketing/Communications. The Associate Director of Marketing for Enrollment serves as an ambassador of Sacred Heart Schools and authentically and dynamically communicates the value of Sacred Heart education and its Goals and Criteria. This person is responsible for assisting in the creation, implementation and communication of the Sacred Heart brand to prospective families and collaborating in the development of the strategic and tactical plan for all external communications to prospective families including: social media management, editorial content planning, website content and marketing collateral materials.

The Department of Institutional Advancement consists of the offices of Admissions, Marketing/Communications, Development and Inclusion and Engagement. The Department’s chief responsibility is to generate operating revenue for Sacred Heart Schools, and to support and communicate Sacred Heart Schools’ commitment to equity and inclusion within the entire Sacred Heart community.

Working closely with both the Admissions and Marketing/Communications Teams, the Associate Director of Marketing for Enrollment:
  • Contributes to and manages an annual enrollment marketing campaign designed to maintain a robust pipeline of mission-appropriate applicants
  • Collaborates with creative teams in the production of strategic, persuasive marketing and recruitment materials, including admissions collateral, videos and advertising (print, electronic, social media, and broadcast) resulting in lead generation. Manages advertising logistics, including the placement of ads and the processing of invoices.
  •  Manages content for the Admissions section of the school website and contributes admissions-related content to the school’s magazine, newsletters and various social media platforms.
  • Coordinates external recruitment activities, ensuring Sacred Heart’s presence at 8-10 recruitment and neighborhood fairs annually. Identifies opportunities to expand external recruitment in order to reach new markets and increase effectiveness within extisting markets.
  • Aids in the creation of an institution-wide brand position statement and helps to maintain compliance within the SHS community.
  • Supports market research within the Sacred Heart community and with prospective families. Evaluates marketing related to enrollment efforts (general and targeted), including ROI on strategies.
  • Serves as liaison to the Parent Ambassador Network and implements marketing/recruitment strategies to encourage word-of-mouth marketing of Sacred Heart Schools.
  •  Assists the Admissions Team in interpreting the Schools’ mission and programs to prospective parents. Participates in planning and executing admissions, recruitment, on-boarding and retention events and activities.
  • With the Admissions and Marketing/Communications Teams, represents the Schools to professional and membership organizations, including the Archdiocese of Chicago, various regional and national associations of independent and Catholic schools, and the Network of Sacred Heart Schools.
  • Consistently projects a positive image of Sacred Heart Schools serving as a brand ambassador of the Schools and guiding the Sacred Heart community in their partnership as ambassadors.
Qualifications
  • Successful candidates are energetic, high-performers, committed to the Schools’ mission, who exude drive, joy, initiative, flexibility, dependability and ability to work productively under multiple deadlines. Candidates must also possess:
  •  Bachelor’s Degree, minimum
  •  Respect for and experience in independent and/or Catholic education and the ability to effectively communicate these values
  • Belief in and commitment to Sacred Heart Schools’ Statement on Equity and Inclusion
  • Five-plus years of relevant professional experience in admissions/recruitment, communications, marketing, public relations or advancement, preferably in an educational or non-profit setting
  • Genuine affinity for working with children and families in an educational setting
  • Outstanding leadership, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  •  Dynamic, compelling communicator
  • Thorough understanding of marketing and branding principles, as well as solid grasp of new media channels
  • Strong project management skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple and complex tasks with hard deadlines
  • Excellent writing, editorial and proofreading skills
  • Warm and welcoming demeanor and works effectively with a wide variety of people
  • High standard of customer service and follow through
  • Team-oriented, collaborative and flexible; ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lend a hand when needed
  • Self-directed with the ability to multitask and prioritize; excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Professional and personal integrity with the ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise independent judgment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Availability for occasional weekend and evening work and the willingness to assume other duties if necessary.
  •  Willingness to complete other duties as assigned by Director of Institutional Advancement and/or Head of Schools.
